Intimate Wedding at The Gibson Centre - Alliston, ON

I love intimate weddings. It allows couples to enjoy their wedding day with those closest to them and be able to visit with each of their guests during the evening.

Rosetta and David reached out to me about 5 weeks before their wedding date looking at my Month-of Coordination services. With a young family, working full time while also attending school, they were feeling overwhelmed with planning their upcoming wedding. Due to the pandemic, they had to postpone from 2020 to 2021 and had to make cuts to their original numbers in order to ensure their wedding day could move forward in August 2021.

Once the finer details of the contract were done, I dove right in and introduced myself to all the vendors and started to gather the important details for their wedding day timeline. Rosetta and David had built an amazing vendor team including Sarah from Stunningly Dunn Designs & Décor, Rachel Bowman Photography, Wild and Free Films, Lavender Floral, Supreme DJs, David from Enduring Promises, Pink Frosting and Co., Cravings Fine Foods and of course, the beautiful Gibson Centre.

Rosetta and David had a clear vision of a Bohemian style wedding. I am confident when I say, they were very happy with the end product. Lavender Floral did a beautiful job from the floral pieces down the aisle, to the arrangements set against Stunningly Dunn’s beautiful triangle arch. For the centrepieces, gorgeous loose florals went down the middle of the harvest tables with cloth runners tying the whole Bohemian Wedding look together.

The lovely intimate ceremony was filled with personal touches including a story of how Rosetta and David met, acknowledging loved ones gone too soon, and a family sand ceremony to show the strong bond of love between this young family. Guests then proceeded to the main floor at the Gibson Centre for cocktails while the couple went outside and had fun with photos. The amazing team from Stunningly Dunn and Cravings Fine Foods worked to flip the room from the ceremony to reception.

After making their grand entrance into the reception hall, the evening started off with a heartfelt speech from Rosetta’s mom before the first course was served. David’s parents followed the salad course welcoming Rosetta and her family into their family. After the main course was served, it was the bride and grooms turn to say a few words. A few tears were shed thanking their families for their constant love and support and speaking lovingly of one another.

Before the dance floor opened for the evening, it was time start with a few special dances. First was Rosetta dancing with her brother while a slideshow of family photos including photos of Rosetta’s father, who passed too soon, played in the background. It was extremely touching with not a dry eye left in the room. David followed with a beautiful dance with his mother. It was then time for the bride and groom to do their first dance. What made their first dance even more special, was the fact that David had the song written specifically for Rosetta. How amazing and cool is that?! Definitely something that will stand out from their wedding day. It was now time to get the party started. Everyone was ready to bust a move on the dance floor.

As many of the vendors services were completed, including my own, it was clear that this small group of people who loved Rosetta and David, were ready to have an evening filled with dancing, laughter, and catching up.

I want to thank Rosetta and David for allowing me to be a part of their special day. It was an absolute honour and a wedding that I will remember for a long time. If you are looking for help planning your wedding, use the link below to book your free consultation.
