New Year’s Eve Wedding At York Mills Gallery

Samantha and Joshua had a specific vision for their wedding; they wanted an elegant and fun New Year’s Eve wedding theme. They were both busy working professionals who didn’t have a lot of time for wedding planning, so they hired me for a Full Wedding Planning package. I worked with them to find the perfect wedding venue and vendors that would help bring their New Year’s Eve wedding theme to life.

Unfortunately, the week of their wedding, the bride and groom came down with Covid 19. So their incredible vendor team and I jumped in full swing to postpone their plans.

A New Year’s Eve Wedding Design

The vision behind this winter wedding was inspired by New Year’s Eve, with a black, white, gold and forest green colour palette. MP Decors esigned a beautiful balloon wedding arch that was the backdrop to the ceremony. While the Bridesmaids wore gorgeous dark green bridesmaid dresses which tied all the colours together nicely.

The Day of The Wedding

Guests were attending from all over, so it was important to the couple that they had a good time and their wedding was a fun party. With this being said, we chose to go with a later ceremony and a less structured evening. Instead of having a formal sit-down dinner, Samantha and Joshua opted for small appetizers and grazing stations for guests to enjoy. When guests weren’t on the dance floor, they enjoyed a photo booth from 6ix Photo booth and were treated to some sweet cookies to take home.

For those guests who were unable to attend due to Covid 19, Samantha and Joshua decided to add live streaming to their wedding ceremony. This was a great way to connect with everyone, regardless of location.

How A Toronto Wedding Planner Can Help You

Even though Samantha and Joshua’s New Year’s Eve wedding did not go as initially planned, it is safe to say that everyone still had an amazing time. Thanks to their incredible vendor team, they were able to reschedule to a new date that perfectly aligned with their ten-year anniversary. I am so grateful that I met Samantha and Joshua and worked with them on their wedding. Despite all the changes, their resilience and love for one another was a true inspiration during a tough wedding season filled with postponements.

Having a wedding planner can not only help you save time and money but can help ease the stress of things when something doesn’t go as planned. I would be honoured to be a part of your team to help ensure everything goes smoothly leading up to the wedding.
